Description Will Woods 2008-01-31 22:39:45 UTC
When checking Fedora 9 DVD media, the progress meter never changes. I can hear
the disk whirring away in the drive, though. After the usual amount of time, the
operation completes, the disc is ejected, and we move on to the next screen.

The next screen gives no indication of success (which might have been OK if I
had watched the meter go to 100%, but anyway). It also doesn't mention that you
need to re-insert the media to continue the installation.

Hitting "Continue" without re-inserting media yields a dialog titled "Error"
with no useful message. It looks approximately like this:

 +---[Error]---+
OK

 [OK]
 +-------------+

If I re-insert the disc and then hit "OK", the install continues normally.
