Description Theodor 2008-02-03 00:46:57 UTC
Hi, I have a problem with fedora core 5 on ppc.
Every time i try to install it in my IBM Enterprise server Model B50 RS/6000 the
fedora installation hangs after booting.
After I type at the boot screen linux32 the install hangs at a screen where it
says loading sym53c8xx driver.
Does someone has a solution for this bug?

Thank you.

Changing component to 'kernel' as this is clearly not anything to do with
'firmware-tools'.

Also, fedora core 5 is... ancient.

Comment 3 Theodor 2008-02-03 01:17:50 UTC
It may be ancient but ifr i try to install fedora core 7 it might fix the problem?
I need to install this server for cpanel.

Comment 4 Jon Stanley 2008-02-03 03:58:00 UTC
Thank you for the bug report. However, Fedora Project no longer maintains this
version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug
 if the problem persists.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this CANTFIX.
