Description garym 1999-08-02 16:34:06 UTC
More of a caution: Having APM enabled in the kernel
installed by the installation script causes some laptops to
oops on boot and this makes it impossible to install RH on
some laptops where the floppy drive is unsupported.

The URL included here lists some details of this oops, and
also some other problems with the installation of RH 6.0
on the Acer 330T notebook computer.

We will have to see if we can get one these laptops into our test lab
to see if we can replicate this problem.
