Description of problem:

RHEL 5.1 doesn't recognize the RTL8111/8168B onboard network Card.
RHEL 5.1 (kernel 2.6.18-53.el5) does not detect or configure this NIC.


On Fedora 8 with kernel 2.6.23.1-42.fc8 the kernel's r8169 driver correctly
identified and configured the on-board NIC.
 
Please backport the driver to RHEL.

Please be advised, that Bugzilla is not a support tool. It is an
