Description of problem:
snd-hda-intel not working in 2.6.23.15-137.fc8.
Module seams to load ok but no sound from speakers or headphone jack.
Everything workes fine on the 2.6.23.9-85.fc8 kernel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot computer with 2.6.23.15-137.fc8 kernel
2. run system-config-sound and everything seams to look ok but no sound comes out from speakers.
3. Doing the same with the 2.6.23.9-85.fc8 kernel and everything workes fine.

Please try 2.6.24.3-12 from the updates-testing repository:

# yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update kernel

You may want to keep more than two kernel installed: edit /etc/yum.conf and
change installonly_limit to 3 or 4...

Can't try this because it won't boot at all. It complains about not being able
to find any of my local partitions.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 8.  It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.  At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 
'version' of '8'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' 
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 8's end of life.
