Description Jonathan Kamens 2008-02-14 02:10:34 UTC
My cups log files are not rotating, even though two of them are way over 1MB -- access_log is 2591234
bytes and error_log is 1977559 bytes. I have cups-1.3.5-4.fc9, but I think my log files haven't rotated in
a long time. I tried adding "MaxLogSize 1000000" explicitly in cupsd.conf and restarting cups, but it still
didn't rotate the logs.

In any case, I'm not sure why we're having cups do its own log rotation instead of having logrotate do it.
With cups doing it, I can't configure log compression, how many logs to keep, using dateext, or anything
like that, and it's silly make people configure log rotation separately in different applications.
