The same is true for XFree86-4.0.3-5.i386.rpm. The actual error beging
received is as follows:

error: unpacking of archive failed on file
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/gb24st.pcf.gz: cpio: MD5 sum mismatch

Comment 2 Bernhard Rosenkraenzer 2001-06-26 17:36:45 UTC
What exactly are you trying to do?
rpm -i XFree86-4.0.3-5.i386.rpm?
rpm2cpio XFree86-4.0.3-5.i386.rpm |cpio -id?

Both of those work for me...
