All the static binaries were removed as I understood it was no longer policy to include them. I checked package dependencies and no kdump dependency showed up. Can you not change kdump to cope without it? kdumps dependency is likely on the package, not the specific binary, althrough it appears it should be. I'd be happy to entertain ideas about coping without dmsetup.static, but I don't see how I can do without it, given that I don't have space to include all of glibc in my initramfs. If you have other thoughts, I'd happily listen to them. |
