Description of problem:
every few weeks, evolution suddenly displays error messages on my
/var/spool/mail mail account thus:
Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync

this is root's forwarded mail.  it's IMPORTANT.

even blowing away all the index etc stuff in .evolution for that account doesn't
help.  only blowing away all mail actually in /var/spool/mail/<user> fixes it. 
which means i loose my root mail history.

How reproducible:
intermittently.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open evolution.  click on that folder.
2. observe message
3. mail is listed, but contents unavailable
  
Actual results:
as above

Expected results:
reading forwarded root mail.

Additional info:

loosing root's mail every week or two isn't really an option!

i did find an evolution bug that talked a bit about this and mentioned a
supposedly fixed version, which was a significantly higher release number than
we have in f7.  dammit, i can't find that bug now.  sorry.

The bug was [1], which was fixed recently and will be in Fedora 9.

Current Rawhide packages already have the fix.
