Description Jens Petersen 2008-03-12 06:09:20 UTC
Description of problem:
When doing a network install, a lot of garbage text is output
when/after loading stage2.img.

How reproducible:
every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install from boot.iso
2. load stage2.img

Actual results:
screen fills with garbage characters until testing for and starting X
but install proceeds normally.

Expected results:
No garbage text on screen.

Additional info:
This has been happening for quite a while in rawhide.

Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2008-03-12 14:04:43 UTC
This is due to a lockdep warning from the kernel and the kernel not writing
properly with the terminal mode that slang sets up.

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2008-03-19 09:12:19 UTC
Appears to be fixed now with current rawhide.
