Description Dominick Grift 2008-03-20 16:21:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Although my Ethernet adaptor is recognised, it fails to facilitate network
installation

After installation from CD media TCP/IP networking causes problems.

UPD (ntp, dhcp) and ICMP work fine (ping).

TCP/IP network servers report that they received malformed requests. for
example: yum, sshd, httpd

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 8 and Fedora Rawhide

How reproducible:
Clean installation with Intel e1000 82566mc ethernet adaptor

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do a clean installation
2. visit www.fedoraproject,org using a browser
3. or try to connect to a remote ssh site

Actual results:
TCP/IP Network servers cannot service malformed requests

Expected results:
i expect ack for my requests instead of `host closed connection`

Additional info:
Apache for example reports a missing ":" in the header field
