in kernel-2.6.18-98.el5 You can download this test kernel from http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/el5 just so it's documented, i've been hitting this assertion regularly in the real world on an 8-core MySQL server. see SR 1880910. please test one of the kernels above, the fix is in there. hi, josef. shortly after seeing the problem, we switched to using 2.6.27.10 straight from kernel.org. it includes the fix that don has in his test kernels. i installed one of don's test kernels, but i'm not going to reboot unless i have to. thanks, marc An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report.
