Here is a question. Have you changed the hostname on the machine, but yet are not connected to a network? CORBA has to be able to perform reverse name lookups in order to launch applications, so if it is not able to perform this lookup, it tends to act as you have described. If this is the case, then just edit your /etc/hosts file and mimic the entry that should be there for localhost . . . so you would have 127.0.0.1 <hostname of machine> Save the file and you should be all set. Respond if this is not the case. closed, lack of input. |
