Description Kirill Shendrikowski 2008-04-02 12:08:25 UTC
I have a SATA controller which isn't detected by motherboard bios, so it could
be accessed via driver only.

I planned to use 2nd PATA HDD for /boot patition.

When installation point came to GRUB setup disk enumeration started from SATA
HDD and GRUB should be placed on it's MBR, but this configuration can't boot.

After switching to graphical installation i've noticed that there is an option
to change BIOS order there and place GRUB on selected MBR.

I suppose text-based installation lacks some important functionality.

There's lots of functionality not supported by text mode. Text-mode should
really only be used as a fallback if graphical doesn't work for some reason
