Description Matt Domsch 2001-06-09 21:38:23 UTC
Description of Problem:

NFS install of qa0608 on Dell PE7150 (Intel Lion), using onboard NIC and
eepro100 driver, and kickstart. Whole slew of "attempt to access
beyond end of device" error messages, on loop0 device (07:00). This
happens after loader exec's anaconda, but before anaconda displays
anything. Of course, anaconda dies.

How Reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put kickstart file on LS-120 with boot.img
2. boot LS-120 with 'linux ks=floppy'
3. wait.

Actual Results:
Dead install

Expected Results:
good install

Additional Information:
NFS server is running Red Hat Linux 6.2 with kernel 2.2.16-4.lfssmp. I
have not tried reproducing this with an NFS server running 7.1.

Comment 2 Matt Domsch 2001-06-09 21:55:01 UTC
Stupid mistake. Somehow stage2.img didn't get completely copied to the install
directory. Likewise, the aspell RPM didn't get completely copied either. Oh
well...
Closing.
