Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot the system with wlan0 activated at boot time
2.when the system try to activate wlan0 during boot the system hangs
3.only hardreset is possible

The 2.6.24.4-69.fc8 kernel has a fix which I believe addresses this issue:

Yes it works fine with this new kernel. Push it to stable ASAP.

Just installed kernel 2.6.24.4-74.fc8 and everything works fine.
