Description David Tonhofer 2008-04-20 22:10:53 UTC
Description of problem:

Konqueror does not display thumbnails if you select the "system tab" then use a
path like "system:/media/sdb1/Pictures"

The same directory can be accessed if you select the "root" or "home" tab then
use path "/media/USB DISK/Pictures". In that case the thumbnails are displayed.

This is clearly "surprising behaviour" and thus evidently reprehensible and/or a
bug.

Version-Release:

kdebase-3.5.9-7.fc8

How reproducible:

Always.

Additional info:

I need a shot of Vodka to calm myself down.

You have to go to Konqueror's settings (Previews and metadata tab) and
specifically enable thumbnails for the system:/ protocol (it's disabled by
default I guess).

ZOMG!! Oh Noes! I didn't realise that I had to select it, too. I tweaked the
slider in he Previews and Metadata tab (to no avail of course). Oh man.. sorry
about that.
