I've had this "problem" too, but For me, the less things i choose to install, the faster this part goes. It apparently takes a LONG time to do some of the steps before it starts downloading files (on my sparc 1 w/64 megs, installing more than the bare minimum takes ~40 minutes between the formatting filesytems step and the beginning of copying files... try installing the bare minimum and seeing if that works for you.... my suggestion for the install team would be to add some more progress dialogs to the install, because on slow machines, it can take a while for some of those steps that a pent takes a second t Hi ! Some new information. 1) When I choose "server install", the installation goes on up to the end but I have "time out problem" with init process when the station reboots. 2) "Custom install" blocks (it's the bug i've logged in Bugzilla) even if I select the bare minimum. Some people think that it's related with the size verification of all the packages selected... What do you think about this idea ? 3) Last, "station install" blocks too ! And I don't know why... As you can imagine, my Sun still doesn't run under RedHat 6.0 and I would like it to do so ! Thanks for your Help ! Sylvain. Unable to replicate this in the test lab. Please reopen bug if you are still having trouble. |
