Okay, i have "fixed" the problem. I have made the resolution change via "gnome-display-properties". But in "/usr/bin/system-config-display" still stands the old resolution (1920x14440). After i switched in "/usr/bin/system-config-display" also to 1024x768 it works fine! Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA.
