Description of problem:
  We configured the audio controller sigmatel STAC9227 with RHEL 5.2 beta. 
Play back functionlity is working fine, but Mic streaming is not working? let 
me know how to resolve this issue.
 We set all the controls as unmute position by using alsamixer and using 
volume control option. Kindly see the attached sosreport and soundcard log.

Seems to be an alsa-driver issue.

Probably, stac9227 pinout is incorrect for your motherboard.

Could you send us a dump of /proc/asound? 
(Something like tar xvfoj asound.tar.bz2 /proc/asound)

I also need to know what motherboard are you using.

Unfortunately, we can't fix this bug without having more information. 

If still interested on solving it, please re-open and provide us a dump of the informations on /proc/asound.
