Description of problem:

xcircuit won't start on Fedora 9 default installation, complains about Tk/Tcl
versions. Building from source
(http://opencircuitdesign.com/xcircuit/archive/xcircuit-3.4.28.tgz) creates an
executable that works without problems.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install xcircuit with PackageKit
2. launch xcircuit from a command line

Actual results:

crashes complaining about Tk/Tcl versions

Expected results:

should open the xcircuit gui

xcircuit-3.4.28-1.fc9 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 9

You can give a try to the rpms:

And let us know.

In the future, you can use "rpm -q xcircuit" to determine its version

Thanks. Just to clarify, this is the rpm version currently available in F9:

xcircuit-3.4.27-3.fc9.i386.rpm

Thanks for submitting bug reports.
The 3.4.38 will be out in the mirrors soon (depending how the mirrors are sync).

However if you are using other Fedora Electronic Lab tools, we are willing to
hear from you. Your suggestions might make FEL better for you.

xcircuit-3.4.28-1.fc9 has been pushed to the Fedora 9 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
