Description Chris Stankaitis 2008-05-26 19:11:53 UTC
Description of problem:

When RHEL5 XenGuest boots up and hands off console after final service is
started, console freezes.

How reproducible:

Always

Actual results:

console will freeze after boot, you will still see console messages but can not
log in etc.

Expected results:

by adding the following to the inittab and rebooting.

1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty xvc0

I was able to do an xm console and have a fully interactive console as expected.
As I did not see this documented in the RHEL Virtualization guide I was
wondering if the way I solved this problem is the RHEL recommended way, and if
so if it should be documented somewhere.
