Description LH 2008-06-01 20:47:20 UTC
Description of problem:
I use solely the MSN network in Pidgin. When I open up Pidgin, it says "online -
connecting" (or something similar; it defaults to Finnish on my system) and the
contacts list never populates.

A workaround is to change the mode to offline and then back to online. After
this the contact list populates and everything works fine but it still displays
"online - connecting".

This could have something to do with NetworkManager as it thinks I'm offline
because my wired connection uses a static IP and NM doesn't understand this.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Pidgin 2.4.1-2.fc9
