Description Ian Mortimer 2008-06-11 02:11:03 UTC
Description of problem:
konsole in kde4 doesn't have a --ls option as previously and has no setting to
make the default shell a login shell like gnome-terminal

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kdebase-4.0.4-2.fc9

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start konsole --ls
2. or open konsole settings
3.

Actual results:
konsole --ls gets an error
no login shell option in konsole settings menu

Expected results:
--ls option is useful. Option to make login shell the default (as with
gnome-terminal) is even better.

Additional info:

You can do various tricks like sourcing .bash_profile into .bashrc but that's
messy. With previous versions I could make a login shell the default for all
users by adding --ls to the Exec setting in
/usr/share/applications/kde/konsole.desktop

It would make most sense to report this to upstream kde @ bugs.kde.org (not much
we can do about it fedora-wise).
