Description of problem:
After installing/upgrading snort, subsequent ldconfig runs produce messages:

/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/snort/dynamicengine/libsf_engine.so.0 is not a
symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/snort/dynamicpreprocessor/libsf_dcerpc_preproc.so.0
is not a symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig:
/usr/lib64/snort/dynamicpreprocessor/libsf_ftptelnet_preproc.so.0 is not a
symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/snort/dynamicpreprocessor/libsf_ssh_preproc.so.0 is
not a symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/snort/dynamicpreprocessor/libsf_smtp_preproc.so.0 is
not a symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/snort/dynamicpreprocessor/libsf_dns_preproc.so.0 is
not a symbolic link

I cannot reproduce this with latest rawhide version 2.8.1-5.fc10

Yes, it appears fixed in 2.8.1-5.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 10 development cycle.
Changing version to '10'.

Well, I just installed Rawhide snort-2.8.3.2-1.fc11.x86_64 and the issue seems to have re-appeared:
