Fonts are being progressively reorganised in Fedora and for all practical purposes xorg fonts are legacy, not licensed the right way, or simply irrelevant. Useful xorg fonts have been spun in their own packages I can't argue with that, except that my personal favorite font for terminals, Luxi Mono, is no longer available unless I install xorg-x11-fonts-truetype from F8. This is a decent font on LCD laptops and I haven't found it's equal. I'm getting older and my eyesight is getting worse, and this is a nice font that doesn't tire me out so much. You youngin's gotta 'member us old folks, ok? Thanks, Dan In the infinite words of James T. Kirk: KAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHNNN! Oh, well. :-( Thanks for the pointer. Dan |
