Autodetection of sound card not working. No Sound playback

1.Install Fedora 8
2.try autodetect sound

No Sound heard

hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC268, trying auto-probe from BIOS...

Try to specify your soundcard model in /etc/modprobe.conf. see
http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt

(Actually i recommend you to update to F-9 with alsa-drivers 1.0.16)
