Description of problem:
When booting kernel-2.6.27-0.186.rc0.git15.fc10.x86_64 I get a garbled ascii display instead of gdm when booting without rhgb on the cmdline (I get the same garbled ascii with rhgb on the cmdline).

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot amd64 system with ati X1950pro and kernel-2.6.27-0.186.rc0.git15.fc10.x86_64
  
Actual results:
garbled ascii

Expected results:
gdm

Additional info:
The ascii always show the same "pattern"

Note, the latest rawhide kernel (from today) does work when I remove rhgb from the cmdline, I haven't tried yet with rhgb, I'll do that tomorrow and if that works too, I'll close this.

Yes and no,

Yes: the system no boots fine with rhgb parameter present on the kernel cmdline
No: plymouth still runs in ascii mode

As the no is not what this bug was about, I'm going to close this.
