This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 8. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '8'. Created attachment 314002 [details] Patch fixing missing dependency Description of problem: One dependent package is missing from qpidc spec file. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.2.667603-2 How reproducible: Always, if package is missing Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use system without e2fsprogs-devel package 2. Try building qpidc from spec file Actual results: While building make complains about missing libuuid. Expected results: Make finishes successfully. Additional info: patch attached. I think qpidc makefile should be fixed too, because it doesn't check for libuuid correctly on 64bit system. My system - x86_64 I had e2fsprogs-devel installed but only i386, so uuid/uuid.h file existed (checked by configure script), but system had not devel library for x86_64 platform.
