Saying it "doesn't do much" is a bit of an exaggeration, because the app does fundamentally work and you can perform many useful functions like browsing, checking out, checking in, viewing logs etc. It just happens that some functions (more than in many apps) are dependent on external software. That said, I take your point that it would be better if all the functions worked "out of the box". I don't know how easy it is to hard-code some defaults in the binary (because these are generally stored in the user preferences), but I'll look. That will still leave the problem of what those defaults should be. The values you gave are sensible in some environments, but a bit arbitrary (gedit/nautilus are GNOME apps = not so good/not installed for KDE users, "meld" may well not be installed and I don't want to force a dependency on it). I'm not sure whether we have some generic command lines that could be used instead and would fire up the user's default (preferred) editor. That would be better. I'll try to find out. Message sent to fedora-packaging-list asking for help with this. This message is a reminder that Fedora 9 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 9. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '9'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 9's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 9 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-packaging/2008-August/msg00109.html It seems that xdg-open is a good way to do this, but it wouldn't help with the diff viewing. I had a look at the RapidSVN code and the source will need to be patched to do this. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 12 development cycle. Changing version to '12'. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)
