It is a regression from `gdb-6.3-pie-20050110.patch' (Position Independent Executables support). Nice bigreport - /proc/PID/aux does not match the provided BFD file as aux is for memcheck. * Tue Sep 2 2008 Jan Kratochvil <jan.kratochvil> - 6.8-24 - Fix PIE patch regression for loading binaries from valgrind (BZ 460319). gdb-6.8-22.fc9 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 9. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gdb-6.8-22.fc9 gdb-6.8-22.fc9 has been pushed to the Fedora 9 stable repository.
