Strange thing Linux srv-rhsoft.rhsoft.net 2.6.26.3-29.fc9.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Sep 3 03:16:37 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Sound works on the x86_64 perfectly again The i386-Version has "power-problems" as before, its a hp pavilion dv8000 and it sounds like a 5.1-surround where only center-speakers are active, but there are only two speakers and nothing to configure in fact All other things with the last 2.6.23-builds are working very nice (VirtualBox.i386, iwl3945, VMware-Server.x86_64 2.0 RC2) Fedora 9 is now on kernel-2.6.27.21-78.2.41.fc9.i686. Are you still experiencing sound problems? Sorry, i'm on fedora10 since longer time and my notebook has died, the new one is running fine with f10-x86_64 OK, I'll just close this report, then. It's good that you've upgraded, since Fedora 9 is nearing the end of its supported lifetime, anyway. Thanks for the quick reply! |
