This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release.  Product Management has requested
further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential
inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed
products.  This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update
release.

Status update:

This is approved for 4.7.z.stream, requested with RHBZ 464494
and already released with errata :
http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2008-0972.html

This is also accepted for inclusion into RHEL 4.8.
This BZ will be used to track inclusion into RHEL 4.8
