Description James Laska 2008-09-04 20:12:43 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.11.svn4022.1.fc9.i386

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click nm-applet
2. Select Create New wireless network
3. Enter network name: "flatline4", security settings: WPA & WPA2 Personal, password: "flatline4"
4. Click OK

Actual results:
The nm-applet spins for a while, then a dialog appears asking for my password for the 'flatline4' network. The password textbox is filled in with a long hex string (which does not match the password entered in step#3)

Expected results:
nm-applet should connect to ad-hoc network

Additional information:
* See NetworkManager log posted to http://fpaste.org/paste/5736
* selinux in permissive mode
* iptables flushed prior to testing
* Smolt profile available at -
http://smolts.org/show?uuid=pub_91fa58ca-c1a9-45ea-81de-d48d10665a4b

For output on the following commands, please refer to attachment#315784 [details]:
$ iwconfig eth1
$ nm-tool
$ iwlist scan

VERIFIED in F-10 with NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.12.svn4326.fc10.i386. Anyone else able to verify against F-9?
