Description Andre Robatino 2008-09-12 20:41:18 UTC
Description of problem:
The beginning of the yum.conf man page mistakenly refers to "/etc/yum/yum.conf" and "/etc/yum/repos.d". (The names at the end of the man page are the correct ones, namely /etc/yum.conf and /etc/yum.repos.d/.)

Also, should replace "compliment" -> "complement" in the metadata_expire option description.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
yum-3.2.19-3.fc9.noarch

Comment 1 Tim Lauridsen 2008-09-15 16:40:14 UTC
/etc/yum/yum.conf & /etc/yum/repos.d it the default for upstream yum, but /etc/yum.conf & /etc/yum.repos.d is the historical location currently used in Fedora.

Comment 2 Andre Robatino 2008-11-01 09:55:59 UTC
Reopening since there is still a bug here - if the goal is to document upstream yum, then the names at the end of the man page are wrong, and the ones at the beginning are right. Either way there's a conflict.

okay. I've checked in a patch change for our builds for f9 and f10 and rawhide.

the next builds of any of these will fix this.

thanks
