Description of problem:
In order to set thunderbird as default news client, go to Edit->Preferences, in pane "General", click "Advanced" button of option "Default Settings", click on the second button of "check now" for "News" option, get no response.

thunderbird-1.5.0.12-16.el4

Everytime

This button should could check whether thunderbird is default News Client.

We don't have capacity to fix this, there is no customer's demand, and upstream is for this version of Thunderbird in the security-and-serious-bugs-only mode.
