This is now working with NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.11.svn4022.4.fc9. There are still a few strange aspects but not important. |
Created attachment 319606 [details] ifcfg-eth0 Description of problem: After installing the latest updates and rebooting, the network is disabled and the network interfaces can't be activated from the gui interface (greyed out). Running `ifup eth0' as root starts the network but it gets disabled again soon after. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.11.svn4022.4.fc9.x86_64 How reproducible: So far only on one host. This host has a static IP address configured. Hosts using dhcp aren't showing this problem. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure host with static IP and static name server configuration 2. Install latest NetworkManager update 3. reboot Actual results: Network is disabled. Expected results: Network should work as before. Additional info: After downgrading to NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.9.4.svn3675.fc9.x86_64, it's working fine again. There was a kernel upgrade also but the new NetworkManager doesn't work with either kernel, the previous works with both kernels. This host has a second network card which is not normally active. Both are disabled with the new NetworkManager, both enabled with the previous.
