Description Steven M. Parrish 2008-10-08 23:56:08 UTC
Description of problem:

After installing KDE Beta for F10 and performing a yum update to make sure all packages are current system freezes. The system freezes at the KDM login. KDM does not recognize either keyboard or mouse input. I am however able to switch to another console and log in, just can't get into KDE. Tried updating imsettings as recommended with no change. Tried nomodeset for the kernel and still no go.

Running on my HP laptop with NVIDIA video. using default nv driver but tried alt drivers as well.
