input files showing the problem - nothing speciel, but they seems to trigger a case I haven't seen before none

Description Mads Kiilerich 2008-10-14 12:01:58 UTC
Description of problem:
When running
meld Xorg.0.log Xorg.0.log.old
(with the files from the attachment) then it hangs "Computing differences" for far too long time.

It is a GUI tool; it shouldn't spend that much time searching for a perfect diff. Or perhaps it is just a bug for this particular input.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
meld-1.2-2.fc10.noarch

Additional info:
diff and kdiff3 have no problem with the files.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 10 development cycle.
Changing version to '10'.

Comment 3 Mads Kiilerich 2009-03-06 14:45:36 UTC
Same problem with meld-1.2.1-3.fc11.noarch

I guess someone should file it upstream ;-)
