Description of problem:
The man page says that as of the current snapshot (dated some time in '98)
collating elements are not supported. Well they are now, and it'd be good
if it didn't say this. Also, it'd be good if they were documented
somewhere, but they don't seem to be, either in this manpage or in the info
docs for regcomp et al. The only place I could find them was in the docs
for grep, which has its own regex engine, as I understand it, so is likely
to be different.
