Description Bradley 2008-11-03 08:57:19 EST
Description of problem:

Severity: extremely-trivial

when upgrading from F9 to rawhide using preupgrade, some warning messages are displayed to stdout:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

preupgrade-0.9.8-2.fc9.noarch

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to use preupgrade to upgrade F9 to rawhide

Actual results:

Warning messages displayed on stdout

Expected results:

No warning messages displayed

Additional info:

Looks like it doesn't know about the new metadata filename format being used by createrepo.

Also, MetaDataMap has an entry for Fedora-9-comps.xml{,.gz} but not comps-rawhide (or, presumably, Fedora-10-comps)

> Severity: extremely-trivial
Ha!

Luckily, the fix was near-trivial as well - we now do pattern matching against the filenames. So "*comps*.xml*" is treated as "group metadata".

Fixed in bzr rev. 225. This will be in the next preupgrade build after 0.9.8-2.
Comment 2 Bug Zapper 2008-11-25 23:41:14 EST
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 10 development cycle.
Changing version to '10'.
