Description Paul F. Johnson 2008-11-08 15:22:21 UTC
Created attachment 322946 [details]
Test file for the bug

Description of problem:
OO draw does not resize group members correctly

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.0.9-6

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a box and some text.
2. Place the text in the box (make sure it doesn't go outside of the box)
3. Select all, group and resize

Actual results:
The text does not resize to match the box resize

Expected results:
The text should remain in the box

Additional info:
The attachment is a simple example. I've set it already to be a group. Resize and the bounding box resizes, but the text doesn't

It can "sort of" be done if you right click and use convert to metafile and then resize the result of that. Otherwise this is a known upstream RFE of http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=13972

Wow! That is an old feature request!

Converting to a metafile isn't really a good solution for what I need (I'm redoing a periodic table that I originally did around 1994 on an old Acorn computer). Any ideas if this missing feature is going to be done?

Probably never, bh is a bit of a dumping ground. Time to pull out your compiler :-)
