Description Ralf Corsepius 2008-11-12 04:42:33 UTC
Description of problem:

When encountering a depresolution problem, yum underneath of mock issues an "odd" error message:

# mock ... init
..
ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:
...
(1, [u'Please report this error in bugzilla'])

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mock-0.9.9-1.fc9.noarch

How reproducible:
Always.

Actual results:
c.f. above.

Expected results:
1. A properly formated error message.

2. Referring to a real bug-reporting address (mail address, URL).
"Please report this error in bugzilla" leaves users clueless about where to report such errors.

Comment 2 Ralf Corsepius 2008-11-12 05:05:08 UTC
Identical bug in FC10/current rawhide: yum-3.2.20-3.fc10.noarch

I can sort of see this, sure.

I'll make a config setting so distros can set it to where they want bug reports but the default can be the yum trac instance.
