Description Nicolas Mailhot 2008-11-29 11:46:02 UTC
Bitstream Vera has long been deprecated in Fedora in favour of DejaVu, which is a community fork and extension of the Bitsream release. The majority of users will have DejaVu installed on system and pulling Vera in is a waste of resources.

For Fedora 11, please consider changing the xblast deps on bitstream-vera-fonts to one or several of:

	dejavu-fonts-sans
	dejavu-fonts-sans-mono
	dejavu-fonts-serif
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-sans
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-sans-mono
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-serif

Nowadays LGC is only installed for special cases, and people use the full version of the fonts.

The compat packages are transitory and will be gone in F12
