Bug 474246

Description of problem:
Putting the system to hibernate works fine.

When I resume with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse connected, the system wakes up, but shows a black screen with only the mouse cursor on it. I can move the cursor with the mouse. Keyboard does not work at all (caps lock key does not toggle the LED). I have to shut down the system by force.

When I resume with only the notebook monitor, internal keyboard and mouse, the system wakes up, but also shows the black screen with only the mouse cursor. I can move the cursor with the mouse, but the keyboard is also dead here. After maybe half a minute, the display reappears, and I can use the mouse and keyboard again. Anyhow when I click on a Gnome icon, it is not selected. I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to regain control. After logging in again, everything seems to work fine.

Clean Fedora 10 Final x86_64 installation with all the latest updates.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put notebook to hibernate.
2. Resume.
  
Actual results:
Black screen with only the mouse cursor on it. Mouse cursor can be moved. Keyboard does not work at all. When no external devices are connected, the system finally wakes up after about half a minute.

Expected results:
System wakes up successfully and in a reasonable amount of time.

Additional info:
Thinkpad R61, Intel 965GM graphics.

There are a lot of other Hibernate/Resume bugs, but I found none with the same symptoms.
