This message is a reminder that Fedora 10 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 10. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '10'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 10's end of life. Created attachment 325888 [details] a screenshot I'm attaching a screenshot demonstrating how the GNOME splash works in F10: - it shows "File Browser" being started for the whole time it's active, - it won't show any new icon, ever, until it disappears. The screenshot clearly shows that: - Nautilus is started (the desktop icons are there) - the panel is started - all the panel applets are already there - gkrellms which is added to the session is also started This isn't very pretty, because I've captured a moment when the background changes (why can't it change before starting all other apps is another thing). Then few other programs got started and the splash disappeared. I've chosen gnome-session, because I really have no idea which package/program is responsible for displaying this splash. If it's something else, please reassign. Thanks!
