Description Bernie Innocenti 2008-12-19 11:15:32 UTC
Description of problem:

When using this kernel, X11 starts and freezes shortly after
rendering the GDM login screen.

This has been verified with a ThinkPad X200s, with no
xorg.conf. Works fine with 2.6.27-130.

I made this bug super-highpri because it's a regression that
breaks existing hardware in a way that users cannot easily fix.
I'm available on IRC as _bernie to help test a fix.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.6.27.7-134.fc10

How reproducible:
Always (tested twice)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot new kernel
2.wait for X to come up
3.boom!

Actual results:
X deadlocks

Expected results:
X should not deadlock

Filling-in this form results in dumb bug reports! :-)

2.6.27.9-159 is in testing now.

Comment 2 Bernie Innocenti 2009-10-05 00:58:41 UTC
This old bug can be closed now... Current kernels work perfectly with GM45.
