Description Pat Gunn 2008-12-30 18:58:31 UTC
Description of problem:
2.6.27.7 and previous had working sound support for this hardware, but the upgrade to .9 causes the hardware not to initialise (the mixer works, and the module loads, but no sound comes out and dmesg says the driver doesn't see a PCM out when forcibly unloading and reloading the module.

Comment 1 Pat Gunn 2008-12-30 18:59:17 UTC
I should note that that lspci is from 2.6.27.7. I'm not sure if I get the same thing from 2.6.27.9

Comment 2 H.J. Lu 2009-01-03 22:32:07 UTC
I also have ICH7. Sound doesn't work with kernel-2.6.27.9-159.fc10.x86_64
and 2.6.27.7-134.fc10.x86_64 is OK.
