Description cblaauw 2008-12-30 21:23:50 UTC
After awaking from resume the network adapter (Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 01))

is down, calling ifup eth0 solves the problem. The network is not always down, only once or twice a day, most resumes do work without problems.

with kernel 2.6.27.7-134 there is no such problem

machine is an intel core2 duo E8200 running x86_64 Fedora 10, board is Gigabyte DS3R

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Kernel 2.6.27.9-159 and 2.6.27.10-167 and 2.6.27.8-144

How reproducible:

Happens to me at least once a day

Steps to Reproduce:
1. put the system into standby
2. wait some time
3. resume system

Actual results:
network is down and eth0 is not shown by ifconfig

Expected results:

network eth0 is up and running and shown by ifconfig

Additional info:

Network is configured by using NetworkManager service
