Description G.Wolfe Woodbury 2009-01-08 21:14:04 UTC
Description of problem:
The ix86 SIS900 ethernet driver is not present in the default rawhide initrd.img package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
 always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to nfs install with a SIS900 motherboard ethernet
2.
3.

Actual results:
 no driver found

Expected results:
 loading driver and continuing

Additional info:

some instruction on making a driver disk (or a pointer) would be appreciated. This is my work1 testbed (i686) machine, currently running 10+updates. Without a driver it's pretty impossible to run.
